Use excelsior aspen wood shreds for more support than paper shreds can provide. Natural excelsior has no added color, so you see genuine wood for an untouched look. Natural excelsior sells by the bale in either coarse or fine grades. The coarse is 50 pounds net in a bale and fine is 25 pounds net in a bale. The weight shown in the table below is gross shipping weight. See a size comparison here. Coarse is very thick for heavy items.

Colored Wood Excelsior

Aspen wood shreds. Our moss colors are a cleaner alternative to Spanish Moss. Adds a bright or natural looking color for shipping, packing or decorating baskets. Dyes water dies and are not colorfast. Available in fine shreds and packed in a 5 pounds net in a box (approximately 2.4 cu ft.), compressed volume. The weight shown in the table below is gross shipping weight. This expands to a much larger volume of uncompressed shred. See here.
